A local Houston broadcaster had a very informative guest today. The link below leads to the website sponsored by Texas A&M concerning hog control. It includes trap designs, bait recipies, hog patterning info and other good stuff. One thing he mentioned that I didn't know is that Texas has over 70 live hog receivers who trapped feral buy hogs for market. Right now they're paying about $.40 a pound live weight. They don't take anything under about 50 lbs because the market won't buy them.

I've heard some places pay a premium for 300# and over. Though getting one of those on the scales alive might get a tad interesting.....
