Sat my friend's place the other night. Episode 12: 10:30 a sounder shows up. There is one pig twice a big as the rest, I figure 150 pounds. Again with pigs going after corn I probably tried to "grab" shot. NO pig! I went to the feeder, no blood. Not the first time I have shot a pig with no blood but got lucky and found it. The shield will seal off even with a 375! Road around some but no luck finding it. If I hit it, at least it go far enough so the buzzards would not destroy my equipment!
Episode 13: Back at my friend's place. 10:00 a/the sounder shows. No twice the size pig! I picked the biggest one of the bunch. Bang, flop, 300 PRC. 89.4 pound boar. Tried to skin out a hind quarter and back straps with a head light. I have no access to clean water on the place and the pig was coated with soil. Gave up, to the bone yard!
