Been away on vacation and had a car breakdown that took 2 weeks to fix, so the hogs have had free run of the ranch. Landowner is ready to shut it down in prep for deer season but told me he would really like to knock back this sounder. So, I went out yesterday and set the trap, came back today and knocked off this bunch. 13 wasn't their lucky number for sure--11 boars and 2 sows, 35-65 lbs. One got "adopted" into a friend's freezer and the rest went to the buzzard buffet--again.

Dusty that would qualify
as a massacre.

Good doings in pig country and
right before deer season too.

Good on ya!

What broke on the wheels? And where?
Glad you got it fixed, know what it did
to the bank account. Did you have a camp
set up or spend even more on a motel bill?

George--a plate/disk in the transmission broke and then disintegrated. Fortunately, it happened in our friend's driveway and the dealer put us first in line after the work in progress since we were a thousand miles from home. Took a week for the ordered replacement to arrive from California. Fortunately it the car is still in warranty or it would have been expensive. And, we have friends in the area and split our down time with them, catching up on old times.

Here's what I found at my other place when I checked cams today--they are getting brazen.
