Pictures of a small black boar at my friend's place. Took the 416 Ruger for a sit! I have been doing way too much in the heat and humidity! About ten I started wondering why I was not in bed in the AC! Maybe ten to fifteen minutes later it was the classic "the feeder pen did not look right"! A sounder had moved in. Binos showed two larger pigs and a bunch of little pigs. The smaller black one was bossing around the bigger light colored one. Light colored was going right to left, blacky was left to right in front. When their vitals cross I put the reticle high on blacky to get a pass through in the boiler room of lighty. Mayhem ensued with pigs and dust flying! When the dust cleared there was nothing under the feeder. What the ****? Went down there and there was a long string of blood with lung tissue in it. At least one did not go far! There was blood spatter going to the left and to the right out the back of pen. There was nothing passed the fence to the left. Out the back was a wide smear and 25 yards was the light colored sow! Her shredded heart was hanging out her ribs! After looking and studying and looking and studying some more, I am sure I shot high on the black pig. I looked this morning and if it lethal it went a long way! 119 pounds,416 Ruger 350 gr Speer.

IT happens even to the best of us.

Likely hit above the vitals and
spine. Doubt you missed completely.
Might still be running--!
