While I was home last month, a went to some public land near my home and killed two nice sows.

I was squirrel hunting when I got the first one with my Ruger 77/22.

The second was a few days later during our primitive deer hunt. Killed it with my 35 whelen. Missed a small one maybe 20 lbs or so right after the first. It was sticking its nose out of some palmettos and shot just over its head.

I didn't weigh either one but I'm thinking they weighed about 125 lbs each.

We had a heck of acorn crop and they had a ton of fat on them.

Put the hams on the smoker and wrapped the backstraps in tin foil with Italian dressing and put them on the grill. Fine eating!!!

Good job, look like perfect eating size.

Even the rocks don't last forever.

Well done! Like CHC noted, those should make for some terrific table fare.
