Of course he does, it's just that he prefers long-bladed knifes and spears.

Cool Cool hillbilly animal

A lot of dog owners get skittish when a client is shooting near his dogs! Big Grin I've never hunted them with dog and knife (have with dogs and guns), but would love to try it. Looks exciting!

When you go to Hawaii, you often get the chance to go "pokadapig" since that's the way native islanders do it from way back when.

Once you hunt hogs with a knife, you will never go back to a firearm. Up close, personal, and very exiciting. When I go to visit my friend Juan Pozzi I look for two things....boars with a knife and good asados.... thumb

LOL...."pokadapig". No kidding when I just recently went to the Big Island I was talking with some of the locals and they were aksing me if I was going to do it the traditional Hawaiian way....I had to tell them I was from CA and we shoot things over here...they were like "come-on brudah? We can show you the hawaiian way!" I got a number or two and will have to go back a try it the Hawaiian way....

Nice pic Juan! Makes me want to pack and leave tonight!

I have tested many ,many knives and i considered the wider knives the best ,they permit you a margin of error and ,they put the boar on the floor faster .USE ENOUGH KNIVE .Juan

Whitworth- I'm shocked you haven't been knife hunting. I'll post some pics of some of my larger blades on safari.

It really is a hell of an adrenaline rush. It's pretty popular in central and south Texas.

I know of a couple of guys that are into it out at the JA ranch up in the panhandle. One of their names is Powder Horn... really, his parents put Powder Horn on his birth certificate. That gives you a bit of insight into some of these characters. I don't think he knows what the internet is, so I'm sure he won't mind being referenced.

Wales, I'm more of a gun guy. I like to shoot animals rather than stab them. That said, I would love to give it a try!

I killed many hogs ,with knife ,spear and bow but i always carry my glock 40 ,i choose it because i hunt in wet terrain ,in the mud most of the time and sometimes even in the water ,and the glock its adecuated for such use,now im carring in my truck a military mossberg 590 great ,durable, finish 9 shots, and short .My favourite knives are cold steels and some custom by local knifemakers.Juan
