Landowner where I do lots of hog shooting during the non-deer season said "I can't stand it---I'm setting the trap." So, this morning he called and said "got a trap full". Made it out (forgot my rifle) and we did the 7 in the trap. 90-lb sow, 75-lb boar and 5 good eaters.

Took us about an hour to kill, load and field dress the bunch--he kept one and I took the others to folks who want/need them. Met John in Martindale and dropped off 4, then on to Cabelas in Buda to meet up with my buddy for the other two. In prior years we hunted together 10-20-30 days but the two places we had near Wimberley are no more so we haven't seen each other in about a year. So, we had some catching up to do. Almost like we had just been together last week--friendships are just plain wonderful.
