Had some guys down from Nebraska and we went to a place I took NRB and Danny when they were down and didn't catch a thing, but things were different last night. We started just before dark and I let out Quirt, Maverick, and Penny. In about 2 minutes They had a small pig and a sow caught. Loaded them and went to a pond where we had seen some sows and pigs earlier in the afternoon. No pigs. Went to a feeder that was close to the pond and let the same three dogs out and bam, Maverick locked down baying. When Quirt and penny arrived on the scene they caught this sow.Got her loaded and went to another feeder and the hogs had cleaned up all the corn. Let the same 3 dogs out and away they went. In about 15 minutes they all came back so I let Red out and in about 2 minutes he was bayed. When the othed three dogs arrived at the bay they all started baying. Sounded Pretty to my old deaf ears. I figured it was a big boar so I let bones and Mason out and they caught. Had to crawl in some places but finally made it .They had a small boar caught just 20 yards off another road on the backside.We drug him out and then rested a bit and drank a cold water. Went to the next feeder and I could see where a hog had drooled a little while eating some corn so I let out mav, quirt, and penney again and they bayed him about a half mile away in part of the ranch where I have never been before and didn, know how to get any closer so I put bones and Mason on a leash and started walking.When I got close to the bay I could hear him grunting . I radioed back to the suzuki and told them to let out the stagxbulls out. Whe I heard them bulldozing they brush toward the bay I realeased bones and mason. They all arrived at the same time and caught him in an old right of way. About 175 lbs but had 2.5 " cutters. Bones, Quirt,Penny, and Mav are sporting some new battle ornaments, but nothing serious. After we got the hog out I told these guys that " we have had a good hunt, caught some pigs with one good boay, no dogs seriously hurt, no rattlesnakes so I think it is time to quit". They agreed so we went back to camp.
