Hi everyone!!
I am leaving in a couple of hours, I am going to stay at my feeder from late afternoon till midnight. I promise plenty of pictures.

We are taking heavy artillery:
More corn
Salt blocks
And a big barrel with corn, sugar, water and beer that has been stocked for a couple of months !!!!

Last saturday I have set a Cuddeback no flash trail camera so I hope to see some pictures. I check it last monday and nothing interesting, an armadillo and a bloody cow that was not supposed to be there and that has been already relocated in the farm.

It will be good moon so buddies...wish me luck!!!

No pigs and the trail camera was full of pictures of bloody armadillos Roll Eyes

But....at 7pm we saw a bunch of axis going out from the bush into a nearby pasture.

We get down from the stand and walked in circle to avoid giving them wind. With the big moon it was easy to walk and we decided to ambush them in the same point where they get out from the bush (I have been doing some scouting the previous days Wink).

We sat under the shadow of a big tree and waited around 20 minutes when they got back.
In the group where 2 bucks and for our enjoyment they start fighting each other at no more than 30 metres from us !!!!!!! clack clack clack !!! exciting noise !!!

A pity that despite having big bodies their antlers were medium size... Frowner

So as good sporters we are we decided to hold fire and we leave them walk away in peace thumb

That was the highlight of a very clear and COLD night.

If everything continues like this I see in the near future a very fat corn feeded armadillo roasting over coals... Big Grin

you should be killing everyone you see.
do a service to your land and nieghbors and quit feeding them unless your gonna spike the corn w/ antifreeze.
