No trophies just some fun. This is a 200 lb. sow dressed, and fed about with 50 folks, with the help of some jambalaya, at our boucherie.

Thanks Marko, it was a lot of fun, no trophies, just a lot of sweat, blood, and fun. This is a 100 lb. boar that gave me and Neal a tussle. No revolver as I was carrying a rifle which I threw in the bushes to grab the hog. Neal did the same with his pistol. It drug us 5 yards beyound my hobbles and we had to end up killing it with my pocket-knife as I left my bowie in the truck.

Thanks Bud, last one for the night. The little pit sporting the confederate flag is Sam our main catch dog. She is a great little dog with a lot of heart.

I'm glad you enjoyed them, most of the hogs posted here(by others) are much better than any of these, but it is what it is.

I guess this is what this forum is all about, living the adventures of others and being inspired by what others have been able to accomplish in their hog hunting efforts.

There is a certain comraderie associated with those who participate. Looking forward to seeing what that big pistol of yours is capable of. Wink

Larry,

Great looking hogs! Good job posting pics too. Man, the boat adds a whole new dimension to the hunt...sounds pretty wild.

Take care.

Thanks Matt, the hogs are okay, and I finally was able to post the pics as I wanted. The boat does add a here-to-fore missing aspect of hunting in this area. As long as it's hunting it is classified as fun, hunting with dogs makes it more funnier yet.

Thanks Bob...Eating well is something we are particularly good at. We wrapped the sow in alum. foil, with enough seasonings, and onions to supply a small grocery store and cooked it for about ten hours in a pit. It was so good!!!

We added some really good jambalaya and about 50 folks or so and had an old fasion boucherie.

Thank you Camp Dog I certainly accept your comments as a compliment. If you view my earlier post Dogs, Hogs, Knives and Guns you will see how all this came to be.

Regards,
Larry

I think there's a little redneck (and sometimes a little more Big Grin) in all hog hunters! Big Grin
