The last few months has seen me chasing a large cunning old boar with my bow. I've been well behaved and left the other pigs alone so as not to scare him off, but last night I decided "stuff it, I want some meat." So this little guy paid the price.

He's sitting in my fridge waiting to be boned out, stuffed and rolled into roasts. The eye fillets might get nibbled on at lunch, which is about an hour away.

I've been baiting a bush clearing for a while now, trying to lure out a big Boar thats in the area. I arrived on the clearing with about 10 minutes of light left and saw 3 pigs about this size.Deciding to get some meat, I stalked in to about 20 paces, and then promptly missed my first shot as the pig took a step sideways as I released the arrow. They ran off, but returned shortly. I stuck an arrow through the brisket of the lead pig as he walked towards me at about 15 paces.
The hardest part was getting him home because I forgot my torch and string and had to carry him over one shoulder for about an hour.
Cheers

I can only get the 4 wheeler to within about 2-2 1/2 km's from the clearing, It usualy takes about half an hour to walk the rest, but without a torch I spent a fair bit of time stumbling about and trying to stay on the right track.
