Dom:
Is that a runt, or why would a pig that small have such hooks as those?
Don't seem like it could be a young pig with teeth that big. Anything you can tell to help some of us beginners to learn a bit more?
Thanks much,
George

Their hogs don't get that big. Small bodied, but they've got cutters that a hog four times the size would be proud to wear. Crazy!

Dom-

THANKS for sharing the photos. Those are some impressive cutters!!! It's rare to see anything even close to those around here.

We don't see them like that here either -- unfortunately!

Aloha Dom,
You always seem to get the ones with the big teeth. Most interesting 3rd pic from the top. It appears that the pig had a busted or deformed lower jaw. Both cutters appear to be on one side.

Good going braddah.

Aloha George,

Yes, he most certainly was a runt for sure. His teeth showed him to be very old indeed. Genetics I believe has some play in it as polynesian pigs werent very big body wise but had large tusk for their size.

Aloha,

Dom

Very nice. Good blades on those hogs.

The Hunt goes on forever, the season never ends.

I didn't learn this by reading about it or seeing it on TV. I learned it by doing it.
