...for this boar just a little while ago. I have a safe haven set up for deer about 200 yards from the house so the family can watch the deer and other wildlife. There's no hunting allowed there -- except for hogs, that is. On tough impact such as hogs, the TTSX is winning me over. This one penetrated 20 inches or more before exiting. I just finished field dressing the hog. The bullet broke the onside shoulder, wrecked the lungs and took out a portion of the liver. Still, he managed a 50-yard dash into the thick stuff. I thought the hogs may feel neglected since I have been concentrating on hunting deer lately. I couldn't have that happen... As to the single shots, I love 'em -- and it's generally on the Contender platform from which I hunt, though the buck I got Saturday morning was with another single shot: the TC Encore. Here's my deer from Saturday along with our twins Andy (right side) & Grady, who just turned 5: Bobby Μολὼν λαβέ The most important thing in life is not what we do but how and why we do it. - Nana Mouskouri

Bobby, That first picture of you with your twins must be one of the most beatiful pictures I have seen in this site. My boy is 2 and a half and the next one will be arriving in one ore two weeks...I am already starting to get nervous, all those long hours at the hospital waiting for "the moment" and praying for everything going well is tough !! I hope to be able someday to have a picture with my boys similar to the one you posted Thanks L

Whitworth wrote: "Get them into hunting early..." --- Amen to that!!! They already know the different action types of guns and the basic mechanics. It's also tough to stump them when trying to get them to ID various species. And their clothes preference: CAMO!!! Lorenzo- Thank you for the kind words. As you can tell, I am very proud of them. They are truly miracles as they early prognosis was bleak at best. But today, they are doing very well. Congratulations to you and your wife! I will pray that everything is OK and goes smoothly with the delivery. ANd here's hoping you and you kiddos get to enjoy many memorable adventures together.
