The feeder mechanism slipped all the way to the bottom of its rod and dumped the feeder---However, I was able to salvage about 125# of corn for use as hand corn. No pigs in this thing in 3 months and only 3 different ones on camera on the ranch---must be making a difference---and I'm headed back this week to continue my eradication efforts on these 3--I have a choice between small, medium, or large.

one of my old timers had photo cells to spin at dawn and dusk. A lightening storm came through and put the whole 300 pounds on the ground in one night. Cows broke in the pen, what a mess! know how you feel! That a big bore for the big boy!

Re-looking these pictures I finally figured out why the camera at this feeder takes tons of pictures---anyone else see the "trigger"?

I would guess its the pig. dancing

Ok, too obvious. For my second guess i'll say the branches on the right side of the photo.

Kind regards,

No politician who supports gun control should recieve armed protection paid for by those he is trying to disarm.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways-scotch in one hand-Chocolate in the other-body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WHOO-HOO, WHAT A RIDE!!"

Most likely the strap hanging from the 'coon cage waving in the wind IMO. When I go out this week for a sit, I'll secure it and see if it makes any difference (and trim back those limbs too).

You'll have corn growing there
before long. Better move the trap.

What a mess huh?

Headed out for some "social distancing" dancing

Any bets on whether it will be "small, medium, or large"?

Well, it was "small"---the one with the bad rear leg. About 60 lbs

Glad you got him and ended his suffering.

Haven't been able to get out of the house much at all lately, though I do have a different bullet I want to try in the 30-30 if my health and the hogs ever get on the same page, so to speak.

Am running the little 110 grain Hornady GMX Blackout bullet at 2805 fps from a 24" 30-30 Contender barrel. It groups exceptionally well. Should be interesting if I ever get to try it out...

Bobby--sorry to hear you aren't out and about---but the swine are enjoying a respite--

Numbers on that load look good and that group will put their eye out for sure.

Sounds like a good load and it at least looks pretty. I bought 17 boxes of 358 cal 225 gr Nosler partitions for half price. $400 something is better than $900. So I now have bullets for 3- 358 Winchesters and 2- 350 Rem Mags. Now I just need a bull barrel for my Encore. Swat another of your piggies Bobby. Be Well, Packy
