Guys:

I'm going in for another back surgery
in the morning. Hope to be home Friday,
doubt I'll feel like getting online.

This is my third go with this ordeal.
Have quite a kink in my spine that's been
pinching a nerve and giving me hell several
months.

Kill some hogs while I'm gone and stay healthy
too.

George

Wishing you a fast recovery and complete relief, George. I've had three, too, and hope to get injections soon.

George---hope nothing but the best of outcomes for you. I have a bad back myself, but so far I am not facing surgery.

Will kill a few for you ---

I know about back problems! Got screws and rods in mine! They have come a long way since then! Fast recovery and relief! Not seeing much on the cameras lately. Way too hot to sit in the plywood boxes at the wife's place!

I think every one of us should go out for sits and then fill this forum with stories and LDP pics so George will have some "entertainment" during his recovery. I will start Sunday night---story and hopefully red arrows, blood trails, and LDP pics to follow!!!

Hey Dusty, I'm looking forward to them!

Live Oak: Had 8 screws, believe he replaced the
two 5" rods with a longer pair to attach the next
vertibrae. IF so, that will make ten.

For you guys that don't know what they are. 3" lag screws with one way threads, use and awl to pound a pilot hole in the bone, then do the same with the screws. Type with rods have a 1/2" cup swivel head the 1/4" rods lay in, then a flat washer like screw down to lock the rods in place.
Last go round the dr gave me a set of 4. I asked this doc to save me all the hardware he took out. Expect only the two 5" rods.

I still have one up between the shoulder blades
that keeps popping out creating lots of spasms.
This was not in the plans this trip.

Thanks guys. Do take care of your back! Once it's wrecked, it'll always be. And sure no fun after that.

George
