This little boar is just the latest to fall to my trusty R25/Nightforce/.308.

Sabine River Bottom in East Texas, loaded with hogs, and saw more deer this year than ever before.

I got on a herd of about 12 hogs around 1:45 pm, that was led by the biggest sow I think I've ever seen. But since I was only interested in a good eatin' size pig, I selected this one because he was the right size, and the most colorful one of the bunch.

Good Hunting,

Eatin' size, for me, is 50-150 pounds. Occasionally will eat one a little bigger, as long as it is a sow, or bar. No big stinking boars for me.

This one was about 75 pounds or so.

Thanks, Whit. He will be delicious, I'm sure.
DRT, never even moved, no squeal, just dead!

Handloaded 150gr old-style Silvertip. Bullet went in right in front of the left shoulder, and came out right behind the right shoulder. Bang, Flop!

Thought for about a half second that I had missed. He fell over behind a log, and I didn't hear anything, except the other hogs leaving.

Oh shoot, just read the first first post....

Evidently "Tasty little porker" means something quite different on the other side of the pond.
