Anybody been handcuffin'? We used to do it back in Georgia. Basically we'd turn the dogs out after dark in the riverbottoms. We used Pitbull/great dane mixed breeds. The dogs would bay'em down til we got there. Then whoever was the unlucky bastard that night would jump on the hog and pin its head down with your knee. Your buddy would then get in there with zip-tie handcuffs and secure the legs. After that you just throw'em on the rack of the 4-wheeler and take'em home. We had a pen that we kept them in. After sweet feeding them for a month, even the nastiest boar makes for some fine eating.

I knew a guy in Ville Platte Louisiana who used to do this. It's definitely a step beyond simply shooting them or even using a knife on the beasts.

Best,

John

Done it in Oklahoma, only we used Curr dogs riding on the hood of the truck to smell them and bay them and Pitbulls as catch dogs and to hold them til we got em tied up. The guy we went with had regular nylon hog cuffs he used to tie them up.
