A few of us spent the weekend hunting hogs in the Hill Country of Texas. It was 108 degrees Friday and 107 degrees Saturday. We did most of our hunting at night. I took a nice boar using my AR with with the XLR-250 Red Kill Light.

Hello Bob,

Nice shooting. Nice pig.

I sure would have rather been hunting myself.

Were the jackrabbits carrying Canteens?

My bud in Vanderpool says he has only had 3/4" of rain in the last nine months on his ranch.

Best

Bob--while you were out sweating your butt off, I was in the Rockies in Colorado in the cool at 8000' and up, WISHING all the while I was back in my bow stand in Texas!

Bob, great hog, especially in the heat.

On a second note, what type of camo are you wearing? It looks like it would go well in palmetto thickets.

Nice hog, from the smile it looks like you guys had a good time. That's what really counts.

Bob,

Have always avoided going to Texas during the summer because of the heat and the problems with getting the meat cool fast enough.\

When you hunt in the summer do you worry about that at all?

You always have to be concerned about that in the hotter months. We get them dressed right away and in the walk-in cooler or on ice in a regular cooler.

Good pictures Bob, can't wait to get to Natalia and visit, maybe next month. Been putting together tools for the South Texas fauna.
