boars caught in the same field I caught the other boar in a couple of nights ago.The first was a no eared boar and the second was a little smaller one.The first one had no ears from being caught before and he is the only one I got a picture of.Juice is beginning to turn a crank at finding hogs. I just wish he would bark a little more. One thing for sure when help arrives he has completed his job and is gone lookin for more. The biggest one got away. When I dropped the stagxbulls My hunting bud called me on the radio and said that Pete was leading everything else by 20 yards but when he got there he missed and they caught another one

Larry here is a picture of my lead Staghound X bulldog catch dog.She is almost 8 years old and she and her sisters have caught many pigs. She is like me age is slowing her down. The Pete dog is a young Staghound x bulldog pup that is doing well.He has ony been in on 3 big boars and is only about 14 mths old.

Impressive on every level. I'm still a bit new to the hog dog scene and not familiar with your Staghound x catch dogs. How large are they. They seem to be long in the snout for a bulldog. Very interesting!

Rather nice of that boar to pose in that manner.

It takes quite awhile to find rocks like that in S Texas!

They use staghounds as sight hounds up north to catch coyotes. The two sisters were raised in Oklahoma and I bought one from the breeder and I liked her so well that I bought her sister from a guy in W Texas. A friend of mine owened the AB that is their father.I bought them on a hunch that they would be smart catch dogs and not just boil them over catch dogs.In the seven years I have been using them They have only been cut once each but nothing severe.Their best attribute is running down a boar in an open field and catching him.On the big hogs I like to use 3 dogs because they can control them easier.

And when you do find a rock like that, some have rattlebugs under or around them... Eeker

On the picturees I've seen of dogs and hogs, the dog hangs onto the ears to hold them. Right?

WTF do they hang onto if there's no ears?? Eeker
