RattlesnakerGood stuff. It's not easy catching hogs this size in a trap. They are usually too smart for that. What did you bait it with?

Corn with burnt motor oil.

jeffeossoHK,
i've found deeisel (sp) works pretty damn well too.. pour some on stumps near rubs, and it's well just like a creosote pole to them.. they like the smell cause it means the bugs will stay off some...
and, best thing about deiseled corn... NOTHING else will eat it!!!

RattlesnakerSo you actually mix the diesel/motor oil with the corn and they eat it? I wasn't sure if you sort of put them in separate areas within a trap with them acting as separate attractants.
If this is what you guys are saying, and hogs are the only animals that will eat corn soaked in diesel, then that will solve the huge problem of other animals robbing your traps before the hogs can find it. I can set a trap at night and then sit out there with a .22 and shoot coons until I get tired of shooting. Very frustrating.

les walkercoons won't eat the corn with deisel on it.. but i'd love to help you shoot the coons too!
