A 250 gr Nosler partition or a 240 gr hard cast SWC.

I would go with a 290gr +/-, hardcast bullet at 1200 fps or so.

I have used Speer 270 gr Gold Dot factory loads as finishers on a few hogs, and other game as well. You fet some expansion and good penetration. I have been giving them a test for my non reloading buddies.

Have used hornady XTP's in revolvers, levers and semi's and they have performed very good for me. I mostly use the 240 but have also used the 180 and 300gr loadings as well. 180 in the pistol and 240-300 in the rifles.

I use Speer 240 gr. 3/4 jacketed bullets in my Ruger 77/44. Speer does not reccommend them in tubular magazines.

Any cast bullet over 250gr, with a flat nose, the bigger the better.

I have used both the hornady 200 grain and the Winchester 240 grain XTP (I believe that was the load). Now that I have a reloader buddy, I use cast bullets, they do a HELL OF A JOB!
