A few of us got together this past weekend to do some hog hunting in the Texas Hill Country before deer season gets here. We had a great time and even took some hogs!! This is where I set up for Saturday afternoon's hunt.  I took a nice sow just before dark. After sunset we had a 3/4 moon. I stayed put until we had the moon kick in. I heard a hog in the trees off to my right and slipped over there. I was able to pick out the boar and made the shot by moonlight.  GonHuntin came down from Oklahoma to hunt with us. He took a hog Saturday right at sundown.  Another buddy came over from Houston. Here he is with his hog. He got to bloody a new rifle. Thanks y'all! Bobby.....you are correct. We timed this to get some field trigger time before deer season. Also, a bunch of us are headed for the Texas panhandle for the opening of pronghorn season this weekend. I am finishing up packing now.......
