dustofferGood Night
Went out early as my landowner was gonna sit too and didn't want to drive in and spook things for him. Hogs been coming in around 9 or so but I was in place at 6:45. My light was out so I had to rely on the hand-held thermal scanner and about 45 minutes after I got in position, this guy was there. Switched to the rifle, got a good sight picture and that was it right in the brain. Boar, that I thought was heavier, but still hefty--150 on the scale.

Live OakI have been told that the size of the teeth are a good indicator of how old they are. Mine seldom have much teeth so I guess they just die young! Nice pig!

dustofferI will go back out tomorrow to trouble-shoot the bad light and wire the head/lower jaw to a tree so I can recover the cutters once the 'yotes and buzzards are through.
I need the light as I sometimes bowhunt this stand and no thermal sight on the bow.
