Got invited to a place that is high fenced and has quite a few hogs in it and the rancher wanted to reduce the population some.I do not know how big the place is but around 3000 acres. The first night we went I dropped Juice at the gate and he took a hog out f tracking range with the garmin. When we finally located him he was bayed on a group of sows and shoats. We caught a shoat and away he went to about 700 yards and bayed again. This time we caught a sow and I caught juice. It was getting late so we roaded the dogs back to the truck and left.Didn't get any pictures this time.Five days later we met at the ranch and as we were entering a field two boars ran out ahead of us.I didn't drop any dogs my hunting buddy dropped his and we were off to the races.Don't know what happened but they lost the pig and came back to the truck. We decided to road the dogs back to the pond where we caught the pigs 5 days before. I held Juice in reserve because I figured we would be in the flint rock hills and I needed a fresh dog to work him so I let Trouble out and he found and bayed a big boar not far from the pond.I have a new bulldog so I let him out to see what he would do.Sure enough he broke before the bulldog got there but they stopped him in about 30 yards and the bulldog caught him on the ear.Didn't need the stags because we were close and stuck him.

After loading dogs we located Trouble 700 yards in the flint rock hills and were trying to find a way to get closer so we could get him some help.600 yds was as close as we could get so we sent him help and it wasn't long before he broke and I lost communication with trouble. After awhile we found another road toward where we last tracked him and when we got up on top we picked him up again 650 yds to the SE.We had been chasing him for about 2 hours when we got upwind from him and he came to us. He was poked on the underside just to the left of his penis. We laid him down and I stitched him up.Couldn't see or smell any intestine damage so I closed him up.I will know for sure in a couple of days.We went back to a water hole and I let Buddy and Juice out and all the dogs left out on the same trail.Wasn't long and we heard Juice bayed a long ways off then the other dogs bayed in the opposite direction and they were a lot closer so we went to them and caught a sow. Then we started looking for Juice and I had lost communication and didn't know where to look so we headed up the first hill we came to in the direction we had last heard him and we could not find him. As we were discussing which way to go we saw him in the road on the way back to where we let him out.The garmin did not pick him up until I caught him so I changed collars with another dogand we started back to where we had killed the first pig. When we got to the first pig I stopped to take a picture and while I was taking the picture they bayed again toward the pond. We rushed out because I had the catch dogs in my truck and as luck would have it he broke before we got there and he ran straight toward me.They got him stopped acout 50 yds from me so I dropped all the catch dogs. When we got to him there was blood everywhere but he was caught. This sucker cut my bulldog,Pete, and a couple of curs.On the way back to the truck we found one of my hunting buddies curs dead about 25 yds from the truck. He had takn a hit to the underside of the hind leg and had severed the artery. We got every thing stiched up and headed home seven hrs after starting.

Sounds like an adventure. Shame your bud lost his dog. That second hog looks like he's got some cutters. You're a better man than me Charlie Brown. tu2 dancing

As my buddy would say,"That second one has some nice lookin' toofses"! Sorry about losing a dog. Ten hogs can't make up for a good dog.

They both had 2.5 to 3 inch cutters. The first picture was taken after the mouth was set and you couldn't see the teeth.
