I have never hunted wild pigs and I would like to try. I live in Kentucky but would be willing to travel anywhere in the south. Are there any places someone could recommend? It would have to be a guided hunt, 100% fair chase. If you had some land with pigs I would certainly be willing to compensate you for your time and land use if you wanted to take me out. Best time would be winter/spring. Colin

Colin, I have a couple comments and recommendations. First, if you are looking at winter, that may be harder to do since it is also deer season. The folks I hunt with don't want to interfere with the deer hunters. I have hunted October before the deer season and also in March, and both were just fine. For what it's worth, I have also hunted the dead of summer and done quite well in Florida. For outfitters, I used Crazyhorse Consulting that posts here with good success in Texas. For Florida, I use Hoppy Kempfer from Osceola Outfitters. He does a great job, but is usually very booked and sometimes harder to get hold of since he also does deer, turkeys and alligator hunts. I would try either. Larry "Peace is that brief glorious moment in history, when everybody stands around reloading" -- Thomas Jefferson

There are places in Tennessee and Kentucky that advertise guided hog hunts.

I don't really buy into the idea there are enough hogs in Ky yet to guide for them. Anybody ever used any of the outfitters in Tennessee? My job prohibits me doing much in the fall.
