I am looking for a night vision device to be used on hogs mainly ... just want to move to the next stage, not wanting to depend only on full moon´s nights ...

An affordable (don´t want to break my bank account on this Wink) but usefull scope is what I am looking for and seems the ATN Aries 330 Warrior 1st Generation Night Vision Riflescope will fill my needs ... any advice ?

I want something usefull and being usefull should be then affordable Wink, my budget is 800 USD or so ... just want to have the best device for the money, shots would be not farther than 100 yards

Thank you all in advance !

I don't have much experience with a Gen I NV scope but I'd imagine that you'll need to hunt with plenty of moonlight or an infrared illuminator or both. The problem with the IR illuminator is that they can be expensive ~$200. But they work really well out to a couple of hundred yards.

Here's a site where you can do some research on different things and ask questions to some guys in the business.

Hey Rattlesnaker ! You are precisely the one who inspired me to acquire one of these NVD !! Nice piggies you hunted with your own night vision scope, thou that one is just too expensive for me ...

The model I mentioned comes with a 450mw IR ... unfortunately I cannot have a first look at it by myself at least to my next trip to USA which might take place next year at best ... so AR is my best chance to have a reliable & trustable opinion I might have Wink

Thanks for the forum´s advice !

Regards,
Martin
