Been real busy lately and have a back that is really awful but
Went for a sit at one of my bow stands where they have been regular as clockwork between 6 and 9. Took the thermal rig as there are no lights at this spot.

Well, I walked up to the stand at 5:30 and what do I hear but “Grunt!!!” and the sound of one running off Mad Climbed in anyway and 3 hrs later nothing but a cottontail. I WILL be back!

You'll get them next time...no doubt in my mind.

I know that feeling, though. It's frustrating. But the next pull of the trigger makes you forget. Smiler

I will be back at another stand tonight where they are rampant---north winds and I can sit 50-60 yds away crosswind from the feed site so should work out well. The neighbors across the fence about 120 yds away may be a bit surprised though.

Finally got the traps re-set and caught two-a medium boar and larger sow, plus a yearling deer in the other trap. Sure was in a panic until it figured out the door was open then it was off like a rocket--

These two make 269 for the year-to-date.

4 more this morning to include this 75-lb boar with his guts hanging out---don't know if he got into a fight and caught another boar's tusk in the gut or someone gut-shot him.

That's a mess, glad you put him
out of his misery before other
hogs started eating on him.

Been a slow 10 days since the last bunch in the traps. Checked all the cameras and feeders this afternoon and 5 of 6 feeders still had morning corn under them---even the deer are hunkered down. Only one hog picture too--
