Decide to sit at my place last night. Parked at pens, unloaded ATV and drove down there. No lights, been too cloudy too long for battery to properly charge. Wind was right so hurried loaded back up and headed to friend's place. 3 miles by muddy, rough county road, maybe a mile and a half as the crow flies. Got in the tower just as the feeder went off. Lights seem dim so I was adjusting the red dot in the illuminated scope when a silhouette of a pig walk in front of the lights! He stayed on outside of the left side of the pen for several minutes, though I was gonna have to shoot it there. He walked in broad side, put the red dot on the shoulder, when the fire cleared he was running out the right side. About 8:30 PM. With two hundred CCs of lung on the ground he could not have gone far. Lots of tall dead grass everywhere. Rode the ATV back to the truck and got the Thermal device. Finally saw a yellow spot where it should have been blue. He made it 50 yards. I could not budge him had to go back and get the chain to drag him with the ATV to the lights for pictures (always pictures!). Old warrior boar, torn ears, you can see the shield in the picture. Shield was 1 1/2 to 2 inches thick. 250 Gr Sierra Game King 375 Ruger. Got home about 11:00.

I love those old boars. They move so slow at night at appear like ghosts.
We dragged a monster boar over a mile on a rocky road. Only hair rubbed off. The skin was hardly scratched.
No wonder those things can live anywhere

I would guess about 100 pounds more than the shooter weighs, whatever that is.
