On my last hunt we or rather the boys I hunt with were hired by a local sporting goods store owner to take some folks from Kentucy on a hog hunt. We hunted all day without success and were all distraught. Finally the dogs bayed this 200+ boar with smallish 1.5" tusk. The client stuck the hog with a 10" bowie, but the hog continued to fight on, I got concerned and ended the struggle with my Puma bowie. As it was this boar cut the pit's cut vest in three places. I was afraid afterwards that the client would fuss, but he didn't. Later we got him a sow which he took care of by himself. The clients took the hogs and left as it was getting late. After we left while searching for our dogs they bayed a pile of hogs between 15 and 20, mostly piglets, Clients are never there when you need them. If the boar looks a little skinny to you it's because we gutted it for the clients.

Looks like you figured out how to post the photos!! This is good! Good job and congratulations on the successful hog hunt, Larry! Of course the clients weren't there when you found a lot of hogs -- Murphy was hunting with you! beer

I guess I've got the photos down for now, but give me a few days without doing so, and I'll be scratching my head again. When I was a child a few folks in my area practiced a form of vodoo called gris-gris. If somebody had a string of bad luck it was common to hear them say "somebody put a gris-gris on me". When it comes to hunting I believe I got a gris-gris, cause Murphy is always nearby.

regards,
Larry

That Murphy fella is rude -- he always comes along and he's never invited! Big Grin

Hey Larry, in order for you not to forget how to post pictures, you just need to keep posting 'em! If that requires more frequent hunts, than so be it!! I'm sure you can figure out how to make them a tax write-off......... Big Grin

Yeah, that's the muzzle end of one of the hogs on the other post. I wouldn't think of getting in range of those things if it wasn't for our little pits. What great dogs they are.
