spencer516Hog hunt 2007
Went to Tennessee over the weekend. Took a hog with Glock 20 shooting 180 grainers. Had fun and put pork in the frig.
Take care,
Tom

WhitworthNice hog, Spencer! Congratulations! Did you by chance weigh him?

spencer516Didn't get a chance to weigh him but I did get 17 pounds of ribs butchered up so far. Will butcher up the rest this weekend, turkey hunting permitting.

Swede44magCongrats on the hunt what calibre is a Glock 20?
Unless it has been changed, which is easy to do, it is a 10mm

spencer516My glock 20 is still a 10 mm, with aftermarket 6 inch barrel. My loads are heavy loads using IMR 800 X pushing a 180 grain Rainer truncated bullet. Both shots went completely thru.

Do you know the approximate velocity? If I am correct it is about as hot as a 357 or 41 magnum.

spencer516The velocity was is around 1250 FPS. Not exactly 41 magnum level but definately worked well on hogs. One of the other hunters was using a 44 magnum. It took him four shots. Its all in shot placement, baby.

billinthewildCongratulations on a fine hunt and a fun way to do it. My friend in Argentina, Juan Pozzi, has used his Glock 40 S&W with great success on hogs as well.
