Seems like I post more threads about "is it time to set the trap?" than I do trapping pigs. Hopefully this isn't another case as these need to go, especially the prego sow before she drops her litter.

Either a solitary boar or this bunch has been in the trap 10 of the last 11 nights, so perhaps this is the time. I will be setting the trap tomorrow.

Questioning my sanity! Left the house at 8:00 pm, it was still 97 degrees! I got tired of pestering the deer and left at 10:45. Pigs on game cam at 11:45. Even with bird cage #4 it was still hot when the breeze quit! I was at at the hill should have been at the creek, pigs there at 9:55! As dry as it is here the corn is getting more inviting! Set the trap!

Baited and set. Easy to see we’ve had no rain.

Looks like it might be time to

gather up the old .22 and box of shells Dusty.

Hope to see them loaded up next post.

And here they are--at least part of them. One 145-150-lb boar and 6 30-50lb shoats (4 on the ground and 3 in the truck destined for someone's BBQ pit).

This trap site is in a creek bottom and is nearly pure sand--driving t-posts is a snap, but keeping them driven is a job.

By golly you've still got the knack of it.

Figured you might be out of practice.

Good show!

George--and this time the buzzards didn't get 'em all. Three of the small sows got "adopted" to someone's BBQ smoker. Big Grin

Thats good, thank you.

Just wish it wasn't 700 miles down there.
