Winds were from the NE one night this week--feeder pen to my stand, so I went for a sit with the bow. Hogs typically approach from the NW or SE so I figured things would be just fine and hogs had been showing up between 9 & 11. Got seated about sunset (8:30) and no mosquitoes for a change though it was hot.

About 9:45 I hear a slow grunt---as in G--r--u--n--t, not an alarm sound in my experience. It was to the 3 o'clock direction or the SE, and I got ready. 30 minutes later, nothing had showed. Sat until 11 and called it a night. Did a thorough scan of the area with the thermal walking back to the truck and all I saw was a single deer. Oh well, going out to check the cameras and see what kind of visitors since then.

You sounded so hopeful. I guess that's why it is called a hunt. But with several million of the scoundrels about we all should be murdering piggies. Good luck for the next time. Be Well, Packy.
