Hey all, I just got back from Texas hog hunting with fellow AR member DVA01. We both shot some nice hogs and both scored on a javelina. My question is, how do they score javelinas for the record books? The pecary I shot was pretty large in size, Id say somewhere around 45-50 pounds. Im getting it shoulder mounted and cant wait to get it back from the taxadermist. If I do decide to go again next year I will try taking another one or two with my bow and handgun. Fordfreak

I just checked the Boone & Crockett and Pope & Young web pages. Neither one keep recored for pigs or javalina. However, on the SCI site I found the following links to their score sheets. They are in Adobe pdf format but you can print them out and go from there. javalina/peccaries http://www.scifirstforhunters.org/assets/hires/Method15.pdf Pigs http://www.scifirstforhunters.org/assets/hires/Method12.pdf
