Hi,
I shoot this Bushpig in Zim 2007, the tusks are 7" long measured from the outer curve of the tusk.

Used my .404 Jeffery and Norma African PH 450 grain Woodleigh soft nose.

Does that make a trophy Bush pig?
(In order not to confuse dear members of AR: The pig is in the fore ground, me in the back ground)

Here are the tusks (the boars tusks -not mine Wink) :

That's funny. don't know much about a bush pig, but I would say 7" tusks is a trophy. Good job!!

Husky; is there a significance to the oak leaf? Is it symbolic or just decoration. Looks nice, classy.

Hi,
The silver oakleaf is the 'standard' item used to get a nice wild boar trophy shield here in northern Europe (Germany, Poland, Sweden etc). You will find them in nearly every hunting store here or at the internet from suppliers such as www.frankonia.de
www.akah.de

Cheers

bushpig: minimum 5 1/2"...
so 7" is a trophy.
A trophy that can go "in the book" generally is at the last a full adult specimen. Anyway your is near the 120% of the minimun so is a big trophy.
A european wildboar to be a RW record needs 8 5/8 ( something like 22 cm...)
