.....I've never heard of anything like this, but it's true. A local guy has a mutt, bitch, probably about 45 pounds that hunts hogs on her own. You can turn her loose with a radio locator on and she will make larger and larger circles until she finds a hog, bays him, and waits for the catch dogs. As soon as the catch dogs gets on the hog, she is off for another hog. She usually won't be there when the hunters get there. The dog is commonly a half mile or more from the hunters. Amazing. xxxxxxxxxx When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere. NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR. I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.

I've hunted in FL & GA with with similar single hog dogs, usually heavy-chested cur mixes.A good one will silent-trail and then try to bay that hog by itself, and go right back for more. Its in every strand of their DNA. Hog hunting with a good dog(s) is my favorite way to go. I just can't sit at a feeder. No slights to those who do.
