I was visiting my brother a few weeks ago and he showed me an article in his local paper saying the Lee County, Texas was paying a $5.00 bounty for each pair of feral hog ears. They were paying $10.00 for a pair of coyote ears.

Two other Texas counties are also paying bounties. https://cbsaustin.com/news/loc...eipts-hogs-harvested

Are hog bounties being paid in any other State?

Not much money in the 60's and early 70's.

I was paid 5 dollars per fox and 10 dollars per coyotes.

With that little money being offered they really do not want to get rid of the problem critters.

A hundred plus dollars now days would be far more appropriate

Been collecting for 3-4 years in Guadalupe County, TX and keep waiting for Gonzales County to start so my east place can qualify. The article is a bit misleading as those two counties are new additions to the counties already offering the bounty.

The $5 per tail used to cover corn costs but with corn at nearly $12/50 lbs not any more--
