Went out tonight after checking game cams and saw I have had good traffic since the last shoot--

Here's my down-range view--107 yds to the feeder.

Had been there about 45 minutes and saw movement close to me just past the low bushes. It was a pig-about 30-35 yds away. Pig made his way on to the west and never turned towards the feeder. Must have been a hot sow over there.

About 20 minutes later I see a dark shape on the right side of the feed pen in the mesquite--well, it walked on thru the pen to the west- Mad without stopping. But, about a minute later it had circled back and was headed back east about 60-65 yds out. Muffs on, safety off, squeeze, and down and dead. That makes 2 in a row with the M70 and I am going out to the other place tomorrow. If I repeat there, I am going to give the AR w/thermal another try. I have decided that it has been trigger anxiety which has been the source of my recent string of misses. Calculated weight was 156, so a near twin to the last one.

Nice! I bet this one is a litter-mate to the one you got recently. They do seem very similar in size and age.

It is getting dry around here. All the rain has been north and east or south of us. There has been some activity at my feeders. I have been spraying fence lines and working of fence. If the wind is right I will have to sit!

Dustoffer,
We spoke in the other thread about your AR. I just put a Geissele SSA-E trigger on my AR-308. Very nice 3.5 lb pull. Still not a bolt gun trigger, but very nice for an AR.

my current trigger in the AR is a 3.5 lb but it isn’t as crisp as the one I had in my 5.56l and I might have to do a swap.

Third sit was a bust--only pigs I saw was a sounder of 5 or 6 across the east fence and I don't have permission to shoot there. However, they will hear/smell my feeder and will be under the fence next time maybe.
