In my opinion the sst is a very good bullet for antelope and small deer. My 14 year old boy shot a antelope this october using a 150gn sst from a 30-06 @ 465 yds the bullet hit him in the hind quarter and had some meat loss, he finished it off at 250 yds bullet went in and out the other side. Last year my brother used a 150gn on mule deer he was using a 300 mag velosites around 3200 I thought it was a little to fast for that gun but he used it anyway, he shot his deer @ 70 yds the bullet hit the vitals turned them to mush but did not exit. in my opinion the bullet is fast expanding and should not be used at velosities over 3000 fps and should not be used on game over 150lbs.
