I had a mate show up yesterday to help me with a pheasant rearing project I'm doing. After dinner we went and sat on a hill on the bush edge, in a light rain, hopeing to see a pig or two. About an hour before dark, Tim whispers that theres a pig too our right. I turn and immediatly tell him to take it, which he manages with a spine shot. As we are gutting it, I see Tim tense up and he points behind me. I look around and another boar is walking straight at us 15 meters away. I quickly move to get my bow but he sees me and dives back into the bush. As we walk home in the dark, we come across a mob of nine weaners which we had a bit of fun sneaking up on before leaving them go about their bisiness. Heres a few pictures of this mornings retreive. The look of pain on Tims face only got worse when my tractor wouldn't start, and we had to carry him an extra kilometer too where I could get a car.

Man...I know I keep repeating myself to shankspony, but the green, ferns, and PIGS in your excellent photos just keep taking me back to Hawaii. You have the BEST unintended adventures ever! Keep taking your bow and keep the stories coming. Great boar. Matt

Well, seeing as the boar's dead and I'm just in a bit of pain, I'd say I got the better end of that deal! Out of 4 150lb plus boars taken there this season, I've got 2 of them, so to say I'm a happy camper is a major understatement! Thanks for a great hunt yet again Shanks. __________________________________ To err is human ... ... to aaarrrr is pirate.
