Saw this boar but he ran into the brush before I could get a shot. I went about 300 yds. and cut into another road that went back to where I had seen him. It was a blast , sneaking and creeping till I saw him. I have 35 acres of year old planted trees, imagine the damage he could do there.

We have a few belted hogs here, they are fairly true ferals. As they decend from the American Hampshire Swine breed.

Good work, the cost of planting pine trees has been rising and hogs can wreak havoc. Between the drought and hogs I really sweated my last planting until they had a few years growth. Yet another reason I hate hogs.

That was my biggest fear. I had seen some sign but when I got a picture of him on my trail camera I started daily patrols with my rifle. I hate them with a passion. It's not sport to me.
