If the 60 grain Partition shoots well in your rifle it would be a good choice, I'm sure. Haven't shot it, but have shot the old 60 grain Solid Base, which shoots very well in my .223 but not worth beans in my 22-250; both have a 14" twist. Go figure. I have shot pigs (also deer and antelope) with both using the old 55 grain Solid Base and it worked very well but all shots were in the lungs. All went down like they'd been shot with an '06.

If the 60 Gr Nosler doesn't shoot, I'll bet that the 53 Grain Barnes triple shock would be just fine, but I can't tell you from experience.

If you have something like a 243 to a 270 I would use it, but the faster 22's will do fine if you do your part and select your shot.

Javelina are pretty easy to kill humanely. I wouldn't fret too much abour the bullet choice; just practice so you can place them in the right place. The 52 gr Hornady match BT or 53 gr Hornady flat base match have killed hundreds of South Texas javelina.

Just for reference, any load that will take coyotes cleanly will take javelina equally well.

I liked the performance of my .270 on javelinas than my 10-.22. They both worked fine, but the.270 was much faster.

The 60 gr Partition over 25 gr of BL(C)-2 shot into half-inch groups, so I think it will do just fine.

I used my .223 with Federal Premium 50 grain Speer "TNT" bullets for Javelina last year and between my friend and I, we had 3 one shot kills. Javelinas are easy to kill. Take whatever you shoot best with.

I am surprised that the TNTs worked well. I've used a ton of them on little ground squirrels, which are devestated by the TNTs. I would have thought they'd be too explosive for javelina. Sounds like I didn't need to worry about a load with the Partitions.

None of the bullets exited, but did wonders to the Javelina's insides. Just a small entrance hole.

The 60 gr. Hornady SP or HP is about as good a 22 cal bullet for hogs ans deer as I know of..I have shot a lot of both with that bullet in the 222, 223 and 22-250..most pass through or end up perfectly expanded under the off side skin.
