This past April I shot two javelina near Laredo, Texas, with Wally Walicky. One was obviously a real bruiser that scored 21 3/16. He was the very first javelina I ever saw. As he walked away from me I saw he had a pair of gonads about the size of tennis balls and I could see his tusks sticking out. I shot a second boar about an hour later. He scored 17 7/16th. In the Detroit Chapter SCI Record book these both score very high. As I recall they weighed in at 47 and 43 pounds respectfully. Anybody have the SCI "Big Book" handy that could give me a clue how they would rank?

I want to make sure these were scored right, as I see a lot of javelina that score in the "15" range, but none that score in the 17 range, let alone 21. I am not a scorer, so bear with me. Okay, on my score sheet, here is what the big one says... Length of tusk (upper) left 4 1/16 and right 3 15/16 Length of tusk (lower) left 3 15/16 and right 3 5/16 Circumference at largest place (upper) left 1 10/16 right 1 10/16 lower 1eft 1 12/16 right 1 9/16 total 21 3/16 Is this correct?
