On a hog hunt with mstarling last weekend I heard two shots like I mean right now. There were some shotguns a way off shooting dove's I knew. All of a sudden I heard two big shot's as fast or faster than A guy could chamber a round in a pump shotgun. I mean quick! I thought man if that was Mike he is the fastest I have heard or seen. I knew he was toting his 375 bolt action so it would be a bit loud. I couldn't resist calling him on the radio and sure enough he told me there were two piggies laying down. DRT as he calls it. Came in right by the blind going to the corn feeder the rancher has out. Shot one and then got another one before they could all get away. I heard the shot I just wish I could have SEEN it.

lol! That reminds me of one of my hog stories.

This one day I was hunting hogs and I had a biggun come in but would stay behind the brush and not come out. Right at dark I decided to let him try the 200gr Ballistic Tip from my .338, so I found a hole in the brush and shot. At the shot he started bucking and running trying to get out of there as fast as possible and I dont even remember reloading but my friend told me that it sounded like a burst fire between those two shots as well Big Grin

I saw the sounder coming in to the feeder at 125 yards ... it was four little piggies (40-65 pounds) ... and I got ready. Unfortunately, I forgot to turn on the video camera that was on the tripod in the blind window next to me.

When I fired the first round the first piggie went down and the rifle came down from the recoil and reload almost on a piggie that got confused and didn't head off with his buds. I caught him as he was coming back across.

I do have a couple of small snaps taken later.

Was a fun day.
