I have family in missouri and the wild hogs have moved as far north as hwy 76. They are sporatic up there but closer to the border they are steadily increasing in numbers. The best places to hunt for them is around protem and along the glade top trail. I ws hunting down there last week. I didn't get one but scouted several promising places and found some sign including baby piglet tracks. most people will grant you access to shoot hogs and the national forest is extremely vast covering much of southern missouri. The conservation officers will let you shoot them with whatever you want. I use an HK 91. I live in Manhattan kansas. So I am aware of the 6 hour drive down there.
