No story to tell as I spotted the sounder from the kitchen window. The 1st was about 210 yards; the next one re-emerged about 270-275. So it was like horizontal prairie dog shooting from the house... Smiler

Used my ol' reliable 7mm Bullberry Contender and Nosler 140 grain Solid Base (lead-tipped) bullets at 2450 fps. Worked like a charm...

Those are some of the best sized and it is a sure way to start practicing herd reduction before it gets started.

Congratulations Bobby, good job and story. tu2

When we spoke on the phone yesterday, you said you might get lucky last night. I was thinking of something else, but that's an nice consolation prize. LOL

Good on ya. tu2

Thanks, guys. The pics really doesn't show it, but these little guys were quite plump. After all, they should be as they spent the past few weeks wiping out all the dewberries!

Geedubya-You crack me up. Have always enjoyed your sense of humor. I bet you'd have a crowd in stitches if you ever got on stage and did a little stand-up comedy. I know I'd definitely buy a ticket!

they are cute at that stage, but then they grow up...

fawns ahve been running around all over, so I figure every one of these porkers being taken out is one more chance the deer will have. Unfortunately, I saw a big boar during a rain shower while ago but had no time to get a shot as he was moving quickly (and the window was closed LOL!). Am hoping he returns to that same clearing very soon as I'd like to introduce him to my good friend Mr. Contender... Smiler

I will still say I hope you get lucky.
Course when it comes to the hoglet, we know it's skill and not luck.

I enjoy your posts Bobby, especially the pictures and the recovered bullet pics. I live in the city and can only imagine how cool it would be to snipe hogs from my window.
