Crazy yes...but we did it anyway.

Eight of us met up last weekend at the Huckaby Ranch to hunt javelinas with Lonestar Trail Outfitters. The ranch is about 45 miles southeast of Ft. Stockton, Texas. We had a great time, hunted hard, and ate like kings.

Here is the "Sweatin' With the Oldies" group.

Here are some shots of the ranch.

Geedubya drove over from Houston to join us.

He spent a lot of time scouting and hunting on his ATV.

I didn't see a javelina, but I spent Friday and Saturday nights doing a little predator calling. We were able to get Charlie and Carl on their first grey foxes at night. Saturday, we called in 7 in three hours. I took a coulple myself.

When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere.

NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR.

I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.

We set up a canopy to hang out under. Bennie grilled up some great steaks on Friday.
