Thinking about taking my brother and nephew on one of those buggy hunts they do around here in Florida. I hunted deer once with a .22 when I was a kid (so long ago it doesn't count), my nephew has never been, but my brother has been a few times. Just for a little fun together time, would you recommend a buggy hunt? What was your trip like?

Thank you.

Over the years, we have done it dozens of times on private land.

It can be a hell of a lot of fun. One of the key things is to find the right land. Let me give you an example. My ranch is overrun with hogs. If I went on a buggy hunt there, I doubt we would see a single hog. Wrong kind of land. Those tactics just don’t work.

There are plenty of places around that do them. Be careful. A lot of the hunts are hogs that have been turned loose in an fenced area.
