Other than Trophy Ranch in Ubly, are there any other places to hunt hogs in Michigan?

Two come to mind. Haven't hunted either place, but Renegade Ranch hunting preserve, and Sunrize Safaris. Both have websites, just google them up. Sunrize is Ted Nugents place somewhere around Jackson Mich., and the other one is up somewhere around Cheboygen[sp]. I think there is a new place up in the UP., but I can't remember the name. Good luck.

I'm more into meat hunting, and, the copy on the promo page is kind of cheesy. Pass.

I have been looking into a hunt in michigan myself. All my research has got me thinking of this place www.davidshogwild2000.com. They are in the up about 35 miles from escanaba in northland michigan. I have talked to people that have hunted there. Very down to earth people and no bs. Its pigs in a pen and your shooting your own porkchops. Not that bear mountain quest live forever crap. The place in northland is the only place I have not heard bad things about. They are also cheap 600 bucks skinned and quatered and three meals for the day. I am also looking into a place in iowa but have not gotten any info yet. My brother has hunted nugents place. He had a good experience but payed too much. He did the hunt with Ted pork slam thing and paid three times more than what a pig costs when ted is not there. I was not impressed by the size of the pigs though. They advertise how pig and mean these are. Yet they don't tell you how much they weigh or have a scale on site. The pigs were no bigger than a good size whitetail.Which is a great eating size animal but not the monsters they claim.Hogwild has honest when I asked for weights average a little over 200 lbs and was based on the fact that every hog is weighed.

I haven't hunted this place either, but have talked to some who have, and they said it was a great hunt, and that you really worked for your hog.

$250.00 eh? I paid 500.00 last year to hunt hog at Trophy Ranch in Ubly, which by the way is a very nice place, very professional and courteous. That price included on-site professional butchering, too.

The only thing that bothered me was the lack of a scale so I could see how much the pig weighed prior to processing.

I'm just looking for some other places in Michigan, possibly a little cheaper.

Perhaps 500.00 is about the going rate?

They offered good butchering services, different kinds of sausage, etc. Their meat card had a lot of choices.

I think that $500 included an overnight stay prior to the hunt, but you would have to look at the web sight to be sure. No food was included when I stayed, save tea/coffee.

They are really a nice group of people - check them out at: http://trophyranch.com/
