It took some experimenting to get the angle of the green L.E.D. Elusive Wildlife Technologies light just right so that I could see from a distance, but it seems I finally have it set up well enough. Tonight, I happened to look through the kitchen window and saw dark splotches where there should have been light. I grabbed the binos and could see there were several hogs milling about.

So I grabbed the nearest rifle, which happened to be my Contender with a 23" 30-30 AI barrel on it. I had a rest set up a few yards from the house, so I stepped out there, waited for the best angle and touched off a round. Even these deaf old ears could hear the audible "whap" of bullet breaking bone, and the hog didn't do anything but go straight down.

The 150 grain C-T BST entered on the shoulder, wrecked plumbing above the heart and demolished the lungs before exiting just in front of the opposite shoulder.

In this heat, there was no time to weigh the hog, and even the photo was extremely hurried (I quickly fired 2 frames before the piggie was carted off).

I am really beginning to like the hog light. Last week, I had it set up poorly and could not see anything unless I was quite close. But by moving it to where the edge of the beam illuminated some of the brushline behind the intended target area, it allowed me to see both the game and the crosshairs decently enough for utility work. I might have to put a 2nd light on Santa's list later this year... Smiler

Nice work as always, Bobby! I used an Elusive green light attached to the barrel of my revolver, the last time I killed a hog. I really like their products.

Congratulations! beer

Congrats Bobby!

I have an EWT Green Feeder light now too. I used it last month and love it for hogs.
