Had the pleasure of being in the field 13 out of the first 23 days of November.

Passed on a few deer,

hoglets weren't so lucky. LOL

even nailed an aoudad ewe for sausage

poked her in the eye @ 304 yds.

Going back next Thursday and play some more.

Best,

GWB

Always nice to see the pics. Are you seeing the hogs during daylight hours or are they night hunted? I saw you had a green light in one of the pics. I love that Sako Mannlicher!

Scott,
the first hoglet pictured was shot about 1.5 hours before dark as was the Aoudad. The others were shot about 15 minutes after dead dark. I"ve shot a number of hogs after daybreak this year, but the majority have been near or after dark-thirty. The "kill light" mounted on the scope really works. I upgraded from the xlr-250 to the Wicked 406 a couple months ago. It has an adjustable beam that is telescoping and supposedly will reach 400 yds. I know that it will illuminate both a hog and the reticle at 175. I've had excellent results with this light.

Best,

GWB

Does javelina just taste like pork?

I was curious about that too. I've often read how they are not very palatable.
